My copy of this and Song of Innocence contains plenty of surface noise. Not very confident in buying from this label in the future, but will at least purchase the completion of the trilogy with Earth Rot. Great music, though!

I bought this version of Experience at the same time as I bought the new Now Again version of Innocence. This sounds far better! It still came in a paper sleeve with the slight scuffing you expect, but overall a great pressing with much lower noise than my Now Again Innocence. It was also just over half the price of the new version, so my gamble may have paid off if the new Experience sounds like its new brother. It comes in a matte gatefold and the artwork is a bit blurry, but I'm not sure what the original looks in person to compare.

I fully agree with Afferbeck here. I actually have owned this version for a while, and picked up the Now Again reissue thinking it would be an upgraded remaster. Turns out this 2000 reissue has better sound quality than the Now Again version. That makes me wonder if this is the case for the 2 other Axelrod albums that they put out as well. I’m really surprised and disappointed considering I have always thought of Now Again being a high quality reissue label. I have to say I’m also pretty disappointed about them providing the same booklet for all 3 of the Axelrod albums.

sounds lovely, deffo must have!!!greetings from Warsaw It contains very nice booklet so worth checking

...is the booklet in this edition the same booklet that came with the "Songs of Innocence" reissue? They sure look identical, and the "Innocence" booklet covered more than just that release...
Flarik
It's the same booklet in the releases, which is a bit boring as you get the same content.

Makes sense...kind of a bummer to pay a pretty high list price each time to get the same content, although the pressings have been top-notch so far, and still cheaper than buying an original!

They are indeed the same. The catalogue number of Songs of Innocence, Songs of Experience and (presumably) Earth Rot are on the back of the booklet, so it's pretty safe to assume it will also be included when Earth Rot is reissued later in the year.

A masterpiece in every way shape and form of the word, so much feeling and emotion jam packed into a little over a half hour of thought provoking instrumentals, will always be in my personal collection until I die.

robcob I think this album is so good...i have a copy i bought that is original but my copy says ST-338 on the label ,can any one tell me is this just a stereo copy ...as most i see for sale say SKOA-338 Hello robcob, I think the catalogue number in this listing may be wrong? It looks to me like ST-338 is the original catalogue number & the ones with SKOA-338 are reissues. Great album all the same ;)
