Karissa Noel - Corrupt FLAC download

I've heard legends about the first night at Sound Factory NYC when this record was played. Apparently Jonathan looped the intro percussion for a good 20 to 30 minutes to announce the track's presence, and then when he finally brought the vocals in, it was apparently total mayhem New York style. The idea of so few discoggers owning this record is shocking at first, but these types of vocals were part of a very small knit circuit of clubbers and dj's that existed in New York from the early 90's until about 2003ish when for some reason it all went Pete Tong in the city. Everyone that was in the scene knew the tracks but they were very regionally confined. I doubt they ever made it over to Europe. I feel much nostalgia for this record. I got to hear it live at Factory at the 2002 classics party. It was the A side straight into the DJ Skribble mix of Jana - More Than Life followed by the JP mix of Madonna - Like A Prayer. It felt like flying. People that didnt get to see the NY club scene probably see this music as cheese but back in the day these were the anthems. Paying 50 dollar cover charge to go inside Sound Factory and be a part of it was well worth it

This into the arrival, the good ole days. These "anthems" are gone cause the labels don't push consigning "club" remixes like they once did for numerous reasons. It's funny cause Karissa Noel had no idea how huge this track was at SF till she was asked to perform it at classics a year or two ago.
