A lovely Summer Time Compilation from 2002. This Album was released as a dedication to the memory of the Summertime "Beach"-Parties on the Seine River-Banks in the middle of Paris. Today i had the pleasure to listen to it once again after some years. There are mainly exclusives here and the style is broad. We have the leftside Downbeats of Pussy Foot act Optimo to open up this compilation. Jeff Sharel brings the first Highlight with a beautiful Tune with accoustic guitars and 2 nice Ladies on vocals. Jacknife Lee brings more Downbeat Power while Ewan Pearson in his World Of Apples disguise delivers another Gem. Dreamy Deep House , while Dee Nasty finishes off LP 1 with some serious Turntable + scratching action. Jori Hulkonnen comes with his individual Downtempo Tech-House, and Mr. Charles Webster delivers a Benefit Song for Amnesty International with "Bat At War". The third Side surprises with a Basic Channel Exclusive : Russ Gabriel teaming up with Tikiman : what a bass + drum programming . Musical madness "Feel The Bass & Feel The Drums" as Tikiman chants over this extra ordinary Track. The unknown 2 me Vista Le Vie (Blanchard/Gunguet) heat up the pressure + tempo once more with a Deep Detroit influenced Banger before Mr. Fingers aKa DA POSSE sums up the motto of this Selection with "FEEL THE MELODIE". The beautiful Cover and good info on the innersleeves helps us dream of the sunny season, that will hopefully come this year as well (although nothing looks as if this might happen anytime in the near future). Till then these songs help us make it thru this dark season. I never appreciated this Collection of Tracks as much as today.
