One of the few respectable contemporary trance albums, "Metaverse" brings together productions and remixes from trance artist Orkidea into a mixed album that does not disappoint. The strongest track on the album is the classic "Year Zero", but there isn't really much filler on this one. What makes this album so good is the lack of cliche breakdowns or drops, and also the lack of cheesey vocals. It's purer trance, built from the ground up with techno rhythms and acid-esque basslines blended together into driving, powerful music.
