Can anyone who has the original press confirm whether the record art is poorly printed and vinyl fairly lightweight? Not impressed with the quality of this repress at all, especially considering the price!

The original has no such issues. The art work is fine and the records are normal weight, I'd say. Like any SS 12" release.

Massive album from the Detroit Don, this set contains some of his finest beats. Proving here that he can turn his hand to a number of different styles and still sound original is testament to his class. Highlights include the low slung ‘Soul Control’ sounding kinda like a slowed down ‘Voodoo Ray’ via Detroit with added melancholy and tension, ‘The Rink’ a Moodymann style funk groove and ‘Synthetic Flemm’ a slow burning, mutating Acid Monster.
