Is it the original shrink that was signed? I picked up a used copy of the /1000 and everything looks legit except no numbering or signature present anywhere.
Dagdatus
The original 500 numbered copies are signed directly on the sleeve.
playboy
Same here with my copy. Is the sticker of the australian version on the shrink or directly on the cover?

I think this release should be split up to two separate releases 2011 and 2016 cause it adds a lot confusing for any poor person thinking they are getting a first press and they get a second press.

...and they'll continue to be removed as they get added...

I agree it's confusing. Even though they were released years apart, the runouts are the same so it's likely that the same plates were used. The label on the back on the second press and the limitation number on the front sleeve (1st press X/500, 2nd press X/1000) are the only differences I see. That said, due to the unusual nature of this release I suspect separate entries will continue to be added forever more.
Puchock
I disagree completely, they're the same thing, identical in every respect, a post-manufacture sticker doesn't count as a new release.

Got a copy with the Australian import sticker. Signed by Crosby and labeled 268/1000 off amazon.
Manris
Picked up one of these bad boys off Amazon for 35 bucks. 2nd pressing #507/1000, signed by Crosby. Hits and sounds awesome! Very pleased with this.

I bought a few off Ebay. Did yours actually have a of number on it? The three I bought are signed but have no of number on them. The ones I have are 126, 159 and 160.

Apparently an Australian label re-pressed 1000 copies of this album. The last 20 copies were signed and numbered and sold from the VAST website. There isn't much information online about the release. Amazon names the label as 'Twenty One Twelve Australia'.http://www.realvastshop.com/products/v-a-s-t-on-vinyl

Its to cover up the first pressing font which i had earlier. I recently uploaded a picture sleeve of the first press that wasn't signed.

Pheenixx savechristoGet a photo from him to prove it's legit...? Haha, yeah I'm sure he'd be happy to oblige! I meant a photo from the "seller*!! Oh right, well I doubt anyone is going to stump up $700 for it so that's his problem. I've got mine and I'm happy with it :)

Pheenixx savechristo Interesting, someone is trying to sell a copy they claim is numbered 125/500, but I've got copy 125. Looks like someone is telling fibs, unless Jon got sloppy with his numbering! Get a photo from him to prove it's legit...? Haha, yeah I'm sure he'd be happy to oblige!

Is yours one of the "Australian" ones that's written as "125/500"? Nope, 2011 First Pressing on the back, no sticker, marked '125' under the signature, I guess it could be one of the Australian ones without the sticker.

I think the "first release of 500" was just numbered and signed but didn't have an "out of 500" indicator. I don't have my copy to hand to verify this though.

I got a copy of this from some useless clowns on ebay, came with a range of bent corners and scuffs which after a fair amount of banter I discovered were there when they sent it. It's signed and numbered 125 but doesn't say if it's out of 500 or 1000, no Australian sticker and it says it's the 2011 first press on the back. On the plus side it sounds awesome. Why is this release so shrouded in mystery? Good to see that some entrepreneurial lowlifes are trying to sell it for hundreds of bucks when you can still get it from the VAST site for $40.

I am quite curious about this development. I wonder where the 'Australian Import' thing came from. Have these records ever been to Australia? very unlikely. So, they were most likely pressed in the US. Then why not just state 2nd pressing? Maybe the sleeves were already printed before the goof on the back cover was noticed and the alleged import sticker was the cheapest solution. It kind of devalues the original 500 a little if they are identical in almost every way (aside from the number on the cover). But the prices quoted here are way too much as it stands. On the plus side, if the demand is there for the extra 1000, Jon might release more albums on vinyl which I would be very much in favour of.

I added some details and pictures to the release this weekend that prove categorically that the "Australian Import" is nothing of the sort, it's an identical pressing with simply an "Australian Import" sticker stuck over the original text. As a collector of different pressings from around the world I feel completely conned. :(
Xava
This is interesting as I bought three copies. That are numbered 124, 159 and 160. No "of" number is listed. Two of them have the Australian Import sticker and one did not. I opened one and it is identical to the og pressing in every way as I have one to compare it with.
Hellblade
Mine didn't come with the sticker, but did have Crosby's signature that says "998/1000."
Sadaron above the Gods
I was trying to figure out the same thing. I just received a copy of the version that was just put on the site this month for sale. It has a white sticker on the back corner of the cover that says "Australian Import". I was curious to find out if anything else is different or if it's just a sticker added to distinguish the re-pressing of 1,000.
