This is proper early '94 jungle/drum 'n' bass at it's very finest! Released in March of that year just as the darker side of hardcore was morphing into such music and moving away from the kickdrums ect (that generally the happier side of things and certainly later the happy hardcore scene retained)! Both killer tracks but it's all about "My God" for me! Wicked tune, love the ruff amens in this!!

"My God" , one of the overlooked tracks in an extremely strong year in jungle/dnb that is 1994! I also bought this vinyl very late in the 2000s when I came across it. For me it plays in the same league as "Brainkillers - Screwface"! Unbelievable punching amens layered with a deep sub bass to rip your speakers apart. The break gives you that shuddering feeling with the emulated violin string and the odyssey sample with the scattered piano playing. For me a simple master piece and it still gets me listening to it. "Rumbled" though nicely done is just a filler for me to have something on the B-side, some chasing amens with some kind of piano play in between. Nothing more nothing less.

DJ Ron played this tune on Kool FM in 1994.

This used to blow the roof off the roller express back in the day !! Definitely one of the best 94 tunes..

True, don't think I've ever heard it in a mix but quite often some of the best tunes get overlooked, plus it is pretty dark now you mention it. Everything I've heard by Mad Dog is pure quality, some of the drum edits on this vinyl are just crazy

My God proper dark classic jungle. That sample from 2001: A Space Odyssey: "My God - It's Full Of Stars!" with Mad Dog amens and synths kills your happy mood and open world of darkside. I know many dj and junglist love this track but how many times this track used in mixes back in the days ?
Duktilar
Actually samples 2010 but can see why you'd think it was 2001 too

Dj Randall, dreamscape 10. Only mix I have heard it in. Top tune.
