Exceptional amen chillage track that's got some folklore mysterious shit going on behind it.From the bandcamp:"Lost" is completely appropriate for this track. It was written in 2008 by two producers from St. Petersburg and has long existed in several variants as one of favorite Drum and Bass labels dubplate named "Lost", but it has not been released. A little bit later the producers stopped their activities. One of them stopped to maintain any contacts and got lost. All these years, unreleased track was discussed by Russian amen break fans, who knew of its existence. Last year, the second member of the project found a copy of the track that is suitable for recovery and release. After this we have made a decision to publish this epic on BURELOM Music under the original track's name and without any authors's name.

What an inspirational piece of music we have here. Rumoured to be written by two Russian producers from St Petersburg in 2008, who one fell out of complete contact and the other laying dormant for almost a decade came across a file for this track last year good enough to be released on a single sided vinyl by the excellent up and coming Russian label "BURELOM Music".The scene is already set, shrouded by mystery and one always hopes that the music would live up to the hype and "BOY" it doesn't disappoint.First of all I want to say that I am not a big fan of the "Amen" break, this is only a personal thing. I feel this albeit very well drummed break deserves it's place amongst the greatest break of all time but to me its has totally diluted an entire genre and drives me mad that very few look outside of the amen scope to produce newer Jungle music, still I do understand its importance to the Jungle scene. And this leads me to why I love this track so so much, It thankfully has nothing to do with the use of the Amen break but in fact the excellent use of ethereal tones, soundcapes & textures that float around reverbed from a beautiful played piano melody, it totally sets that harmonic/emotional edge that you would struggle to find in such music from the same Jungle genre. It has a kind of slight sad, paranoid but uplifting feel to it and you simply can not help but be connected with it, it grabs you and sends you on a wonderful journey throughout its near 10 minute run time like a timeless classical piece of music.I can imagine being wrapped up in the warmest of clothes on top of a snowy Russian hilltop overlooking an icy, snowy vista while this plays over the backdrop while my warm breath crystallises in front of my very eyes just standing there frozen, lost in awe. These 2 Russian producers must of known they had made in my opinion an absolute classic here and the fact it was covered in mystery is the icing on the cake for those who love a story like this and why its aptly named "Lost"I was so inspired by this track I decided to make my own Ambient, Ethereal, Atmospheric Jungle track and I am pleased to say Criterion Records have released it titled "Found" >> https://www.discogs.com/Worldwide-Epidemic-Found-Horizon/release/10434830A truly wonderful find and a track that is a real pleasure to listen and own, I want to extend my thanks to those two Russian producers and on a producer level find out how they wrote and produced this sensational piece of music! This was definitely made and sent "From Russia, With Love"! :DDan Silk aka Worldwide Epidemic
