Notes
From the back cover: Original instrumentation with Valveless horns, Valveless trumpets, Calvary serpent, Oboes and Bassoons.Acknowledgements: We wish to express our appreciation first and foremost to the performers who gave so unstintingly of their time that this unique album might be a success. But most specifically we must thank the Casadesus Collection of Ancient Instruments of Boston and its creator Lanning Humphrey for the use of several of the old instruments used in this recording.
Mr. George Humphrey for assembling many of the Musicians [sic] and much of the material.
Mr. Richard Kaye of WRB Boston for help in formulating the demonstration band and...
Mr. Howard Meek who swears that this is not only his first recording on a Hunting Horn but his last.
