Mortuary Temple - II FLAC download

There are some simple things, but when they emerge from time to time, a new storm of thoughts instantly arise. I was not familiar with this one-man band from Germany until I came up with a copy of Mortuary Temple's second demo, this demo here. The encounter was unbelievable! This monster took four years to accomplish! Drums were recorded back in 2003, while the guitar and voice in 2007. Now if I try to describe the outcome the only word I come with is "universe"! This demo is a polymorphic blackened universe in evolution, a bit of almost all forms of extreme music are there: the funeral opening with a very faint touch of Agalloch, the trippy parts before and after the Norwegian coldness, the ritualistic paths, the technical splinters, the doom worshiping, the Latin American goats, virtually everything is in there. All attitudes/attributes are lurking in there, light and darkness dressed with some very apocalyptic vocals and saturated with the cloudy production. Harsh and psychedelic, dirty and astral, minimal and complicated but above all, amazingly played, complete and totally inspiring black metal music. An intro followed by two of their compositions then the covers, a Mystifier and a Darkthrone and finally an ecstatic instrumental epilogue. Six pieces of excellence, very intense and personal, melted together as one! You will listen this demo as a whole, no way you won't allow yourself to experience it as a whole, so let the darkness begin! This is the third time in a row that I play this demo and I'm trying to be subjective but stuff like this one here is overwhelming, I cannot find even one nano-second of bad music in here. A true, spiritually and musically completed, masterpiece which I really hope that it will get a nice vinyl treat, to preserve these recordings for the time to come.
