Notes

Darmstadt, Germany, February 20, 2000

The CD tracklisting is a complete mistake: it should have been chronologically as the concert goes. The cover tracklist is correct and listed below. You can figure out that the burning gave the right intro (My Weakness), then 8 tracks in reverse order (from the middle to the beginning of the concert), then the 8 remaining tracks in reverse order (from the end to the middle).
01. Intro
02. Find My Baby
03. Machete
04. Porcelain
05. James Bond Theme
06. Go
07. Next Is The E
08. Everloving

10. Ah Ah
11. Bring Back My Happiness

This is overall a decent performance, with good quality sound for what it is. I always love to hear musicians taking the live performance seriously and changing song arrangements, which he does occasionally here, such as the James Bond Theme in which he sings an excerpt from Public Enemy's 'Bring The Noise'. There are a few dull tracks in the mix, I think, not that they are bad songs, only just a little weakly presented on stage, plus there is way too much freedom with the DJ, scratching in most of the tracks. But let it be known that this is not the only version of this recording. I have an unabridged disc with some tracks that do not appear here (such as a fun little take on Cash's 'Ring Of Fire' and an untitled guitar instrumental and a slow muzak-esque version of Ah-Ah); I would recommend finding that one if possible.
