Lurlean Hunter - Lonesome Gal FLAC download

Now being one of my favorite classic albums, prior to stumbling across it by accident in a used shop I had no clue who Lurlean Hunter was. She has such a nice sultry & silky voice that reels you in. I simply adore her take on "You Make Me Feel So Young". Other strong cuts on the album for me included: "It Never Entered My Mind" where she displays real power in her vocals where needed, as well the title cut, "Lonesome Gal". I also really enjoy, "You'd Be So Nice To Come Home To" with it's slower introduction that flows nicely into a light swinger.Although this album has it's fair share of lush ballads, the uptempo swingin' tunes are simply fantastic! Also the orchestration is on point throughout. To my knowledge, it could very well be my first time hearing the Al Nevins Orchestra. I would definitely recommend this one to friends, as it's a very pleasant surprise for the ears. 8/10 personal rating.
