The Who - Hits 50! FLAC download

for the real hardcorde Who completists : is there any sound difference between this one and the 2015 release for disc one? as the run out grooves are different...?

this was the second edition from a t.v series in italy released this year in 2016, prior to this release a week or two before live at leeds was released in a blister like this as was live in hull 1970 by late october, i have all 3 and skipped on the quadrophenia dvd as it was filmed in 2012, i only collect who from 1965 through 1982, anyway these 3 i have are beautiful and all have italian text all over them and virgin eu was part of this release series from italian t.v, really unique item here but these sold out fast...................all 3 i have come in a nice blister as seen in the photo above......

Such a shame this is missing so many massive tracks from the 2 cd release, such as the kids are alright, Boris the spider, see me-feel me, behind blue eyes & you better you bet, it really should have been a 3x lp release, after all its the 50th anniversary release! If I can find it for sale under £14 I might be tempted, else I'll stick with my 80's greatest hits with its crammed on tracks for now..

ps this is a bootleg russian edition as well, sorry i forgot to add that before.......

for the price you are better off getting the 2 cd version of this release, this was released in december 2014 as a 2 lp set, 2 cd set and this a single cd set, the 2 cd set really does not cost much more then this one and you get a hell of a lot more who for the few extra bucks so i only suggest getting the 2 cd set and if you are into vinyl there is a lovely 2 lp gatefold sleeve vinyl edition, this is fine to if you only want a bit but i wish they didnt put that track from 2004 real good looking boy on this, as for be lucky it is an ok song and i hope there last ever, the whos best years where from 1964 to 1982...............

this is the one cd set version of a 2 cd set that was released in november 2014 called the who hits 50, i do not understand why they bothered doing a single disc of this compilation when for just 2 dollers more you get a whole second disc but regardless of my opinion this is a SINGLE cd of the who hits 50 compilation that was released for the whos 50th ann this year, this is also available as a 2 lp set as well......

this is a very nice 2 lp set of the who hits 50 compilation that was released on cd in late 2014 and now it has been released as a 2 lp set for the bands 50th ann this year, this is a nice gatefold sleeve with some decent photos and an essay on the inside of the sleeve by townshend, the 2 lps are pressed on thick black vinyl and come with a good assortment of who songs some well known some a bit obscure, the last track on side 2 is the new song be lucky wich is ok but the who lost that power and magic after face dances in 1981 so all the pre its hard stuff is what makes this record stand out......... nice inner sleeves here as well

this is the lp version of the most current compilation by the who released this year for the whos 50th ann, the cd version came out in late 2014, the 2 lp set eliminates only a few tracks are per the 2 cd set as there was not enough room or make this a 3 lp set, anyway the gatefold sleeve is very nice, has some vintage photos inside and also an essay by townshend, the 2 lps are pressed on nice thick vinyl and they sound great!! i was hoping for a 5 cd box set with a nice coffee table book etc etc for the 50th but so far we have the 2 cd set from late 14 and now this very nice 2 lp set......................

this is a very nice japanese version of this compilation that just came out in november 2014 to promote the bands 50th ann, what makes this cd unique is the JAPAN ONLY SHM MASTERING, this is the best sounding version of this cd to get, the 2 lp set will be out next month.................... the songs on here are the same as the uk and us.........

this is an awesome 2 cd set that marks the whos 50th ann, honestly i feel for 50 years we should be getting a 5 cd box set of killer unreleased stuff from townshends vault and other live stuff i have on many bootlegs but for now it looks like this 2 cd set will have to do, honestly this is the best 2 cd compilation cd the who have done in years probably since the ultimate collection 2 cd set back in 2002, i feel this one is even a bit better but i feel a box set w/ a coffee table book of photos and other goodies as well as live stuff from the 60s and 70s would be awesome similar to the maximum r& b box set that came out for the 30th ann back in 1994, anyway we have some amazing tracks on disc one like dogs, call me lightning and there stones cover of the last time from 1967, they could have done better with more of the 60s obscure stuff but i guess they also need this cd set to sell very well so i do understand it is a buissness, anyway at the end of disc 2 you get a new who song called be lucky, this song is much better then anything on that aweful endless wire album from 2006 and much better then those 2 aweful songs released back in 2004 on the then and now compilation, be lucky is a great song but i hope it is the last thing pete and roger ever record together. this cd edition is the uk edition but the disc is printed in the netherlands and this is the copy i have, i await the 2 lp set in february 2015...

this is the brand new 2 cd compilation set by the who titles THE WHO HITS 50, the track listing on both discs here are very good considering most cd who compilations released over the past 30 years have been very run of the mill tracks, here we do get some obscurities and mono mixes and a few different stereo mixes of ceratin tracks that make this collection very worth while, also the new track BE LUCKY on here is actually very good, it is better then anything on that endless wire peice of crap that they put out back in 2006 and also better then the 2 tracks released back in 2004 real good looking boy and old red wine, both those tracks did nothing either, this track be lucky is actually probably the best song the who has done since the its hard record way back in 1982, anyway this is a well worth it compilation cd set to grab in time for the 5oth ann tour, i was hoping for a 50th ann box set but as of now that has not happened yet, there is still so much unreleased stuff that could go on a 5 disc box set its unreal, hopefully townshend reads this review and it gives him the idea, in the meantime ENJOY THIS COLLECTION..... also there will be a 2 lp version of this but that wont come until february 2015.
