A monument of an album. A concept? Maybe, since this poking and picking at our innermosts seems to be done on purpose.Entering the album with Fears And The City is perfect. Sad, gloomy and lonely our journey begins, turns to anger that becomes beautiful melancholia during Our Room. Melancholia fully erupts with the galactic finale of Starman and the Starsea and leaves us behind happily. After our ressurection, we would like to dance and drink with friends. We twist and twitch to Hours and Months. We sing and lift horns in the opening scenes of Late Walk. And then we are ourselfes again. Naked and cleansed. We go home, humming all the new melodies we collected during our trip. For a trip it was, we now feel. Will we do it again? Definately! We set the record back and face our fears of cities again. Because, now we are addicted. We start to believe that this album will never end up in the back of our shelf, but will be within reach for the end of our lifes. Like the cigarettes, we love so dearly.Playfellow are "more" now. The influences from the Pop were pushed aside. The band fills the space with - well, with what? Is it Classic Rock? Is it even some weired kind of Metal? For sure, the sound became rougher, the songwriting more complex. Rhythm guitars, base and drum are pronounced, tight and straight. Still, the beautiful melodies we got in love with hearing the young Playfellow, exist. Playfellow is still Playfellow. But we hear a band grown. And we are proud of them.
