Excellent piece of work, I agree, nevertheless it looks to me that "H" Friend is short-sampled version of Moroder's From Here To Eternity.

Can anyone comment on the best sounding vinyl reissue of this album?
great ant
They all have the same mastering, they are the same master as the CD too which means both the CD and vinyl contain all the glitches and skips on this new remaster.

Why are there reissues from 3 different labels this year? are they all genuine and of good quality? which one to choose....
Rgia
Privat Records is a very serious label with good remastering and repress
OTANO
I agree the Anthology reissue sounds really good, haven't heard the others though.
Gio
they were licensed to 3 different labels for different geographic territories. They're all legit, and sourced from the same masters, so the only difference in quality (if any) would come from the actually cutting and pressing of the vinyl.
Tenius
I've eyed them all critically.. I would choose the reissue on Anthology Recordings.

I feel bad for writing this is ive waited for a proper CD release, but the new 2015 remastered CD says its taken from the original tapes. It does sound excellent, but on 3 or 4 tracks, the audio has been cut/copy and pasted leaving jumps or skips. There are also many ticks and pops on the tracks, as if it was a vinyl LP used to master the CD. I had to run the entire album through audacity to removed these audio defects along with sorting out the jump and skips in the audio. See track 5 for example and you will know what I mean. Most of the ticks seem to be on the right channel and of course like all of today's CD's it has been brick walled.

Are you talking about Alter K Recording version? or Anthology recording?
Vozuru

Ballardana
of 1978 version?
Xtani
any idea what specific equipment was used?
Ballazan
I know the whole album was recorded with a real drummer playing.

"The Disco Club LP" by Black Devil is so amazing that I just had to write a review about it. This is a very obscure release by one of the earliest of the euro disco artists who would later personify an entire genre. Originating from France, this release developed a major cult following all over Europe during the last 25 years and it is now considered to have been a major influence on many of the early 80's italo disco and euro disco artists who emerged on the scene shortly after this release. As for this LP - it's a 2-sided vinyl release with 6 songs all having a copycat sound effect that makes each song sound similar to the others. The only difference is a few tweeks to the synthesizer, the speed of the drum machine's BPM and some different vocals which ultimately allowed the amateur artists behind the Black Devil act to create their one and only LP. The songs were all recorded in real-time and all begin with that dark and wicked drum beat that sounds less like a disco song but more like the procession of a tribal ceremony in the jungles of Africa. Very bizarre, very rare, and very good music. Get it if you can!
