I also have a copy of this and it is authentic. The provenance of my copy is that I bought it from a record store in central London in 1989 shortly after BURNS T5 Come Home With Me Baby was released. So timing and location of my acquisition fit with this being an authentic article. I have owned it since then.

I have no intention to sell, only left the feedback because genuine DOA fan and important to further collective understanding of the complete discography including this very rare item. Actually I only came across this site because I had never heard of another copy in existence and was interested to see someone else had reported that they also have a copy. Putting that aside, you are as wrong as you are rude.

What a joker. Just because you spin a lie doesn't prove anything. The most likely explanation is that you're involved with the pressing of this obvious bootleg.I also note that you registered on this site and only left this one comment, never having done anything else on Discogs at all. Maybe change your screen name to Pinocchio.

I have one of the supposedly few UK promo copies of this. It is official. Read both reviews, and there are inconsistencies with the post regarding Steve Coy. There's no way someone could have copied the tracks from a CD - one of the BDSG versions on this 12" isn't even on a CD, including the Japanese versions. Impossible for this to be fake or bootleg, had to come from a master. To the person who keeps changing the listing to "unofficial", you sound angry about not having a copy. Chill dude!

Interesting how you and the (apparently) other person both registered on this site to only comment on this one item and do nothing else on Discogs. This is a fake, pure and simple. It's also not a very good one. There are tell-tale signs which make it obvious it isn't official.

Just being concise with my information. Contact Steve Coy yourself ([email protected]) and you'll see what he says regarding this record. What you own is a bootleg confirmed by an actual member of Dead Or Alive. What is better proof than that? if you have it, find it and share it. Also, how would you know this doesn't include any CD version when you don't even have any CD version of this in your collection? No anger here, but whatever I am what gives you the right to state so in the comments? Also I've bought many bootlegs and wouldn't mind buying this one just out of curiosity. If I find one great if I don't no big deal. But I am not required to explain that to you and you have no right to assume what I think, feel or otherwise.

From Steve Coy to me via [email protected]:"This record that you mention [BURNS T6] is a FAKE, I can absolutely guarantee that it does not exist, and definitely would not be something that Epic Records U.K would press up, that's for damn sure. You can tell your guy at ******** that the record you quote is most definitely a fake/bootleg, because I have a tight contractual control over whatever has EVER been issued, and CBS/Epic/SonyBMG or any other imprint or label incarnation have to gain my written approval to manufacture any discs bearing our name or our tracks. And this record was not pressed or cut by anyone from a record company we deal with, guaranteed!I have an archive of every single disc variation and every 'rarity' ever made, and this fake is not in existence. You know, it's very easy and relatively cheap to have a custom white label vinyl record cut and pressed by some dodgy mastering facilities, so I'm guessing this is exactly that, cut from CD's and transfered that way."Anyone is free to contact Steve Coy at the above email to confirm this.

Baby Don’t Say Goodbye is the third single from the British band Dead or Alive’s fourth Epic UK album, titled “Nude” [465079-1]. The title track saw commercial release as a 12” single in the US as well as a 3” CD single in Japan. The “Up-front white label copy” seen here is a UK pressing, complete with the catalog number authentically etched in the runoff of both A and B sides. Few copies exist as the promotional singles were quickly pulled from production and scrapped with the cancellation of the UK commercial release in 1989 -but not before the plates were on the presses, production had begun, and a small handful of the promotional copies had already made their way onto the streets and into a few select vinyl shops. “Rumoured” to exist as well as being touted as fake or bootleg, this truly unique and exceptionally rare pressing has been the subject of numerous social media debates, disagreements, speculation, and accusations. And while it’s authenticity remains steeped in doubt, it stands alone as a genuine article and -to those keenly aware of its specie- represents one of the most sought-after Dead or Alive collectibles to this very day. This finished promotional pressing is presented in a plain white sleeve with a custom sticker affixed to the top right corner (similarly consistent with other Dead or Alive UK white label pressings preceding this one) The unique artwork - which features single-colour thumbnail-sized pop culture caricatures -also made its way onto the cover of the Japanese 3” CD single as a full-colour rendering with a photo of the band’s lead singer and front man, Pete Burns as the focal point, with one exception- the caricature of Adolph Hitler seen here in the photograph was replaced with the caricature of Margaret Thatcher (then prime minister of Great Britain) for the Japanese release. A full-colour rendering of what most likely would have been the finished product for the cover of the UK commercial release can be found in the Japanese souvenir book for the Dead or Alive “Nude” tour. This pressing contains three different versions of the title track -none of which have appeared on any other “commercial vinyl” pressing to date in the exact format or versions presented here. Side A contains a long version and a short version. Side B contains a 3rd (long) version, and a unique medley of “Come Home with me baby/Stop Kicking my heart around/Give it Back (that love is mine). With the exception of the title track, no other characteristics are assigned to the individual versions. “Breaking hearts never make a noise...”Happy Collecting!
