This pressing sounds awful. I would avoid this one. Great album though.
Zainn
seems to be ..did some research, not the best pressing

Does anyone have this 2016 180 gram or the 2015 US release? What are the matrix numbers on the 2016 180 gram release? Thanks!
Thohelm
Does anyone have the original 2015 release? If so, can you tell me the weight please. Is it 120-150grams? I have black vinyl in hand and it doesn't seem to be 180 grams when compared to others. I'm trying to differentiate between the 2015 US release and the European 2016 180 gram release. Also the matrix number on side B is similar but is E2/A3 instead of E2/A listed on here...Thanks!Steel Wool Records ‎– ERE-LP-166, OBE ‎– ERE-LP-166Format:2 × Vinyl, LP, Album Country:USReleased:Jul 2015

I actually remember Stones Throw selling a pressing when the album was released in 2014. I think there were two US runs of Venice... one not listed here.

This orange version of the record was just released in the US: https://www.discogs.com/Anderson-Paak-Venice/release/10527749

Where can this be purchased? Would love to get my hands on a copy

The fact that this reissue is selling so much higher than the original says a lot about how stupid the vinyl game is right now.

Supply and demand is not really an issue when it comes to the music. There are still loads of original pressings out there on black vinyl which sound great. The only difference with these "limited editions" is the colour. They could press 10,000 on pink vinyl if they wanted, pink plastic is not in short supply. The limited amount pressed is just a low figure that was chosen to encourage people to buy quickly before they run out. Many people regard limited pressings as a cynical move to sell more records. It also encourages flipping records at excessive prices.

there's a coloured EU version that still isn't sold out. It's also limited to 300. Like markpotato says..it's stupid and makes no sense.
ZEr0
They only pressed 300 copies of this version. I think the price difference says a lot about supply and demand.

Take Note: Record has NO sticker, stamp, or other marking that indicates Vinyl Me, Please association.CAT # is identical to: https://www.discogs.com/Anderson-Paak-Venice/release/9018642not as listed above, which is the CAT # for the original pressing.this is a Reissue.totally threw me off..

if you bought this to flip, you are a complete douche, i see one already haha

That is mos def. not true in 2017.. 10-15 years ago sure but things have changed immensely and colored vinyl can sound just as good as black these days. Glow in the dark and sparkled vinyl is still heavily affected but not color.
Ferne
Much of my colored vinyl is quiet as can be. I do have several black pieces on the other hand, that are unlistenable. This myth lends itself back to the days of colored bootlegs in the 60s, 70s, which in many cases were awful sounding due to the color coating added on after the fact. Almost looked like paint. My friend has a yellow Beatles bootleg press that's pretty much unplayable unless he wants his stylus to be ruined.
Coron
I'd rather own a copy on black vinyl. Coloured vinyl has excessive surface noise and never sounds as good.
Gogal
But $299? It's a repress limited to 300, not 10.
Ndyardin
amen my man, these flippers are out here wild af
