An ambient masterpiece that I almost overlooked. After being recommended to check this one out, I finally did.. and I was very happy that I did so. The Nacrasti is a long, droning journey through what seems to be themes of abandoned villages and caves. The artwork depicts maps and the possibility of this story and sound to be taking place in the early 1900's. I wouldn't exactly call this a dark ambient release, but it definitley has its creepy moments. R|A|A|N effectively uses all kinds of sounds and field recordings to create this 60+ minutes of music. A must have for ambient fans

It truly is a remarkable album -- I don't often get goosebumps, but "Circle of Two" and "Lilin" both did it for me here.
