Another late 60's band from the Northeast playing heavy rock that is heavily blues-based. The music also leans heavily on the Hammond organ. There is nothing wrong with this album. The singer is good, and the playing is fine. The only problem here is that there is really nothing to make Liquid Smoke stand out from the rest of the pack. I have listened to the album several times, and it just strikes me as pretty standard fare. There is nothing really all that interesting or exciting, and I come away with the opinion that I have heard it all before. Still, if you are really into this sort of thing and collect bands like this, then I am sure you will find it to be very solid.
