Unfort, this is a really shitty pressing...all kinds of pops, and even a couple of skips!...despite having bought this brand new and cleaned it with a Record Doctor II. No visible signs of wear but serious audio defects. Boo.

why this version has no insert? strange, there are important informations.

A budget rerelease, my guess the label was cutting on the costs for this version.

Everyone always gives the most attention to the title track, which of course was basically "sampled" (recreated) in Afrika Bambaata's _Planet Rock_ and is instantly recognizable, even to laymen -- but I think the real standout on this album is "Franz Schubert", a timeless piece of electronic art that shows no age whatsoever (recently re-introduced to me in Clock DVA's excellent Secret Thirteen mix.)

Looks like a mirror copy of 1993 US Capitol pressing on heavier vinyl.Sounds marvellous.

The track titles should be in English. My copy has a slight warp which thankfully doesn't seem to affect play. Very little surface noise. As can be seen from the pictures, the centre labels and outer sleeve are (c) 1977 Capitol (p) 1993 CEMA as per the other Capitol S11-56853 reissues.

OK, so I have no life and sat down and A/B'd the old 1986 CD with the 2009 remaster. To my surprise, I noticed A LOT of added reverb on Ralf's vocals during the choruses in "Spiegelsaal". Sure, it might fit the atmosphere of the song, but in my opinion this is unnecessary tampering with a classic song. I was also reminded of the massive amounts of digital noise reduction used on the 2009 CD's, which affects the high end. Although there's some welcome bass boost on the remaster, I prefer the old CD which sounds much clearer and cleaner, with tape hiss and all. Check the intro to "Franz Schubert" for a good example of noise reduction gone wrong... The sequenced synth at the start sounds like it's about to choke on the remaster, but sounds clear as a bell on the old CD.

This 1977 brazilian release has the original purple capitol label.

i have a brazillian vinyl with this same number but the label is orange

This brazilian repress from 1985 has the rainbow label. With inner sleeve.

The CD I have is exactly like this one, Made in W.Germany with this same matrix but with the exception of the barcode, which is 0 077774 613323.

The quality and presentation of these 180g re-releases are things of beauty. The booklets give such an added visual dimension to the vinyl. The heaviest 180g records I have come across. The blueprint for all vinyl re-releases.

I came across some sheet music of this on the internet and the line "meet Iggy Pop and David Bowie" is given as "Meet Lepo and David Bowie". I'm curious who Lepo is, does anyone know?

Anyone have a copy with SW-511603? Everything listed here is SW 11603. Mine has an orange label, US pressing from 1977.

Just got a copy of this one in NM condition with poster inside! So some copies came with poster, very similar to german but slightly smaller size. Amazing!!

My record says 064-82306 on the label. and 1A 062-82306 on cover??

Digitalised, yes. In fact, the spine proudly displays the phrase 'KLING KLANG DIGITAL MASTER'. The word 'digital', we are told, is a sign that the record will lack the warmth of an analogue record. This is largely true, but this is a Kraftwerk record, and somehow a lack of warmth does not detract from what was already a cold and clinical production; it is barely noticeable. What is apparent, however, is that this remaster sounds clear as a bell.

Bootleg Pressing, but it was done with care. The outer sleeve is of good quality, and the only real detriment is a label printed on crappy paper.

If anyone could get some better pictures for this release, please do so! The third image is a label from a different album.

My copy has slightly different labels, it reads "Recorded in Germany" above "Produced by..." instead vice versa.Also different runout with "F2" on A (instead of "F7") and "F5" on B (instead of "F1").

Were there bootlegs of this album produced. I have a copy that looks "authentic" with poster, but the condition seems too good to be true. The poster is printed on matt art paper, and the sleeve is unlaminated
