A1 - tribal influences in a track which never really develops or displays anything more than funky and tribal percussion. A2 - much better and more upbeat. Every other kick of the drum makes the sound which makes me visualize a blacksmith laying his hammer down on a yet unforged sword. Clang! Plus there is an echoing hook, creating a sensation of it jumping out of the speaker, and then running back in. Like a tennis ball subdued to the flow of the music. Like that makes any sense. B1 - more tribal(ish) stuff. This stuff with a short vocal snippet on repeat (think of Jeff Mills' Call Of The Wild). Cool use voices right on top a funky 4x4 drum kick, with many tribal drums heard in the background. After a while this fly-by sequence is introduced as well, complimenting the vocals really well. Yet another DJ friendly tool. B2 - Another good track, along the lines of the previous two. Looped female vocal, layed over a 4x4 drum kick in the upper 130s BPM range. A tad repetitive and annoying, but for a minute to two, I guess it'll do the trick. Overall: a mediocre DJ utensil release. I guess all of these tracks can fit nicely into many DJ tracks, but don't expect many dancers and/or trainspotters giving you props.
