Danmass - Form Freaks FLAC download

Danmass' only album, FORM FREAKS, shows their wide-ranging love of genres and moods, from the mellow electro breaks of "Time Stand" to the easygoing trip-hop of "Bird." There's something for everyone here. The strings at the start of "Form Freak" and "New Drug" add a certain elegance amongst the breaks, though their attempt at hip-hop on "Gotta Learn" and "Break the Mould" fall flat in comparison, But the chorus of horns on "Roast" and the funk onslaught of "Quake" quickly make up for any shortcomings. The strings return for the archaic funhouse of "Vampire (Maybe He's Not A)" and "Room to Breathe" ends the album on a much more sparse note: the beats, a few instruments, and a wispy vocal. It's a pity we never got to see more forms from this duo.
