The other difference b/t the two versions is that the "strings/tambourine" version has "1977" listed on the A-side label whereas the "w/o strings" version does not.

don't know where you got the info from but it is def. wrong, as I just got both versions here in front of me, listened, one is the one w/o strings, one is with - BOTH have 1977 on A-Side label, but matrix differs - will add them tomorrow cheers x

There are two mixes of this on the De.To Records label (excluding the later re-recording on Morning Glory), i believe you can tell which version you have by the different matrix # in the run-out, the one with the strings & tambourine has "III 61142 A6 & the one without has "II 61142 A6"You can also find the two different versions on seperate compilations,The strings version can be found on 'The Essential Modern Soul Selection' Goldmine Records http://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Essential-Modern-Soul-Selection/release/611599While the non strings version can be found on 'Soul Togetherness 2000' Expansion Records http://www.discogs.com/Various-Soul-Togetherness-2000/master/356148 & 'Searching For Soul' Luv N Haight Records http://www.discogs.com/Various-Searching-For-Soul/release/846445
