I happened across this when the record shop where I worked was shutting down and we were packing up everything for a weekend auction. I had played it for several people, and no one was interested, but the more I played it, the more I loved it, so ultimately, I bought it for myself. And I think this is one of my absolute favorite house records right now. It's not that it's distinctive--the formula is basically the same as any deep house record. But the thing is...there are records that follow that formula that you won't think about twice, and then there are those that have that certain vibe to them that you can't describe, but you know it when you hear it. And it makes you feel a certain way. This is one of those. Definitely a staple in my house sets from now on.
