"I always knew when I properly listened to NLR (and after my eleventh session I have) she'd blow me away, and she has done, translating her performance art astonishingly into fairly lo-fi but ear-charming statements of sorts. There's a definite sense of humour in here, brought to us from one of those stage personas who really doesn't see what's so funny.... This is night music no question, the sort in which you're stuck in some room with the musician, or the musician's dancing topless in the hotel room next to yours.... Frustratingly unheard of as well, surprise surprise. Hopefully her latest output being mixed by Avey Tare will sort that out. She's unheard of to the point of neglect considering that everybody who has heard her should probably agree that a lot of this is powerful.... There are countless musicians like LeBrecht who have talent, sincerity, charisma, and would create a few revolutions if the resources they deserve were open to them, but there seems to be a certain level of brilliance at which artists can no longer be recognized for what they are. There's more in this record than I'm bothering to describe and everyone is missing a treat, you poor souls." Aalto, Rate Your Music, April 3rd, 2011, in a review of Daymares and Nightdreams.

Other Music New Release Update, July 25th, 2001:"The first signs of Miss Greenpot Bluepot arrived here via ournotice board. Her show announcements were meticulously hand-sewncreations of yarn, cloth, feathers and miniature red pillows. Aweek later came her LP. On first listen, five Other Musicemployees and myself were fully stunned; all scrunched-up nosesand raised eyebrows, unable to speak. Because no matter how fastyou play "Daymares and Nightdreams", it sounds like it's on thewrong speed. Miss Greenpot Bluepot and her keyboard warble ineerie lands of their own, with castles of reverb, swampy moats oforgan. Untrained combinations of major and minor keys clashconfidently, at times cacophonous. Her work is most like that ofAnnette Peacock, Ann Magnuson, Marianne Nowottny, Ed Askew,Jandek, even Peter Grudzien. I've added Miss Greenpot Bluepot tomy list of favorite nutballs. [GF]"
