Strangely not being my kind of music, I do very often return to this for another spin on my turntable

How bad is this 'bad pressing'? Is the audio rubbish?
Trash
Bought the repress but audioquality SUCKS BIG TIME
Made-with-Love
Not wishing to be unpopular but i now own this record and didnt have to fork out over £400 for it. I really dont see the problem.ps whats 'a real collector'?

Easy: because edits are made by music lovers for music lovers, bootlegs are made by pirates to fool buyers.
Hucama
I don't really see how an edit is any better than a straight bootleg if you're arguement is that "buying these illegal releases is financing the pirates and make them produce more crap".
Hra
The problem is that is intentionally done to gamble unexpert buyers. They think to get a deal, spend 15€ for a PIRATE copy, which probably cames from mp3s the commissioner has found over the internet. I never found a decent mp3 in 10 yars, doubt they had a copy of the original. Anyway, buying these illegal releases is financing the pirates and make them produce more crap (and they did a couple months ago with Pedestrians - Commuter Fantasy / 1984).I may consider buying them if below 5€, just to cover pressing fees, after i'm sure it won't sound as MP3. Get the Rubberroom edit Taliban Discotheque instead, is quality stuff.

No excuses, if it was only for the sound & music, why trying to copy exactly the original cover ? You're killing the pleasure of real collectors that paid a lot on auction to get this grail and that were expecting to sell it for the same price 20 years later to pay the kids studies, and destroying the real records dealers job. That's absolutely ridiculous, people shouldn't even buy this shit. i'm pissed off.
Boraston
You really think bootleggers are about sharing and spreading music for the love of it?? If that was the case why didn't they just simply upload the tracks to a blog for free download. This is about making money and the artists definitely not getting a share. Capitalism in it's greediest form. Most artists are a Facebook message away now so zero excuses for this sh*t in 2016.
Leceri
if you're chasing records to pay for the kids studies then get lost anyway - stop driving the prices of these great pieces of music up for non-musical reasons, go and collect antiques instead. I'm going to buy the bootleg and am glad someone did a good job. I suppose you'd be happier if it was the same quality as those Disco Spaceship twelves or the bootleg of Automat?
Sti
Agree. Mikeburns re-edit on Devil Disco sounds polite enough as a good 12" replacement. These 12" must not be bootlegged this way: OK for cheap whitelabel 12" repress, I like well done reissues by amateurs, but this (and all other similars) are fraud attempts.
nailer
I agree, but when the only original copy for sale is going for 484 pounds, it must be tempting.
Bys
I'm getting really tired of all those crappy unofficial pirate stuffs...Why you guys are you doing this ?
Asyasya
save money for drugs and booze and fast women and other un-bootlegged records that cost 200 quid.
Djang
Ok to reissue on vinyl, i'll be the first to dig it, but not with original artwork or similar if it's not licensed. I think it would be quite impossible to obtain license to print an official reissue for an in-demand single, but wat the hell, done this way it's all like gambling. At least is this a good sounding copy "worth" to buy? (14€ for a booty it's a lot...)
